5-minute makeover
While we all like to look our best at all times and indeed it also makes us feel good when we do look our best, sometimes we simply don't have the time to spend on our makeup. So for all those women who want to look fab but simply don't have the time to spare, then here is a five-minute make over. Yes, it really will take just 5 minutes to complete and perhaps even quicker once you get into the habit.
Minute one
To start, you should make sure that the tone of your skin is nice and even, you want a good base to start on so this step is essential. What you are aiming to achieve here is to even out your skin tone. To do this you will need to take a light oil free foundation and a sponge; care should also be taken if you suffer from any skin blemishes or imperfections such as dark circles under the eyes. If this is the case then you will have to use some concealer under the eyes, so dab a little on. This stage will take the longest so don't worry that it seems to be taking you a long time to apply the concealer and foundation. Remember as the name suggests this is the foundation or base that you will be working from so you need to get it right.
Minutes three to four
When you have done this and are satisfied with the results you can then move on to the next stage. Take a very light shimmery eye color and make sure that you apply this all over the eye area, also take into account the tear duct near the corner of the eye.
Following this move onto outlining the eyes, this is best done with a dark brown or black eyeliner pen; however just make sure that you line the top of the lid and not both. To curl the lashes and make them stand out use a curling iron. Curling your lashes this way will help you to look younger and have the effect of opening up the eye and making them appear larger. Once you have curled your lashes with the curling iron then it is time to set about using mascara. Mascara is essential and you should use plenty of it with care, make sure that you start out right at the base of the lashes and pull the brush up through them. This will help to define them and make them appear fuller and longer. A neat little trick is to give the brush a little wriggle as you pull it up through the lashes. When you have finished with the top lashes then don't forget to apply it to the bottom, taking care not to smudge. If you smudge then gently wipe it away with a damp cotton bud.
Minute five
The final finishing touch is to finish off with blush, this will help to highlight the cheekbones, give contour to the face and also can take years off you if placed right.
The whole routine should take you no longer than 5 minutes, and once you have gotten used to it, with practice it can take even less.
