Couple behavioral therapy is based on some traditional concepts. The couples are likely to break the problem causing source. Most couple wants to live happy and content. The couple wants to learn new things to get away from problems. The problem occurs more when the couple lack emotional acceptance. The negative and firm emotional responses are dangerous than any difference of opinions.

The couple behavior therapy is based on some assumptions about human nature. One of the major three elements in behavioral therapy is Contingency contracting. Here the couple must start declaring Love or caring days. The spouse must please the other. They must take special efforts to care for other. Some verbal praises are essential for doing any help. The husband must help his wife in caring the baby or in household works and the wife in turn must please him by praising him or by kisses.

The contingency contracting in behavior therapy is simple and has many positive points. But it has its own limitations also. Negative words like No, I don’t want will break the contract.

The next thing in this therapy is to change the concern of the couple for other to behavioral terms. Most of the time the problem occurs when the partner is not caring, irresponsible, dominating etc. Sometimes the partners make opposite errors. That is if a partner says you are not helping in cleaning means she or he wants to tell that the other one is not caring for her or him. Bridging this communication gap will help a lot. This can be done by the therapy.

The behavioral therapy also deals with personality styles and some issues that relates to the previous love experience of the spouse. The behavior therapy helps to bridge the communication gap between couples. It helps to reduce the number of divorces. Even though it is based on some traditional concepts, it is effective. If there are any couples who have divorce option in mind, they can under go behavioral therapy. They will be asked to answer some questions. It also teaches the couples to make argument that is strong but not hurting. This therapy shows success among 67% couples. After receiving the therapy, most couples show development in relationship within two years.
