I realized years ago that my pension was going to become one of many sources of income as opposed to the prize at the end. I did not want to wait till I was in my late 50's or early 60's and then try to live within my budget watching every penny and not really be able to enjoy life the way it should be. As such I applied success principles in my life and started to run a successful small business. No it is not an MLM it is actually a lawn care service. I am in my fourth year, it became so successful it allowed me to take an early pension (reduced) and now I am taking the business to the next level because I don't have to go do the 9 to 5 anymore. I have had time to learn web site design and am in the finishing stages of building the site for my company as well as a free site I am building with advice and tips on small offline/online business creation. The key really is multiple sources of income, that does not have to be multiple jobs. The best part is I have way more time to spend with my family and live life on my terms. There is content there now as well and I will continue to constantly add new material. If you are considering retirement, trust your instincts and remember, for the rest of your life, no matter what you do, they will just keep putting money in your account.
