Genuine happiness comes from within. Most times I think a person has to make happiness their goal. Once this is done and remembered more regularly than a daily basis, it begins to create an awareness in them to be happy. He/she begins to look out for and notice situations that make them happy.. the mind, and thinking begins to gravitate towards happiness.

I have total respect and admiration for people who are always happy and cheerful even when their immediate circumstances don't warrant it. It is easy to be happy when things around you make you happy. I believe that the ultimate test of achieving happiness within would be when everything around me doesn't exactly stir up the happiness emotion, but from within me I exude happiness and in turn affect myself, environment or situation to quote/unquote marshal the happiness that was initially non-existent.
