A Friend in need is a Friend indeed

A friend is one who's extremely precious to us, one whom we entrust for life and who's brain-wave matches just with ours. All in all a dear irreplaceable soul without which life seems turbulent and boring. What when one's friend is troubled and experiencing a bad phase of his life? What he requires the most is compassion, support and a friend who'll be with him throughout the journey of life. Nasty goings-on are an inevitable part of everyone's life. One has to direct oneself and dear ones to grieve in healthy ways and work our way out through all the difficulties.

Ways to Assist one's Friend

A friend who's at an all time low of his life requires a helping hand that will aid him to come out of his state of shock. As a supportive friend, one must first of all keep strict vigil on the destructive behavior of the companion as traumatic grieves can lead to the person getting engaged in unethical pieces of work like smoking, alcohol or drug abuse. Victims expect us to be patient, calm, silent-listeners and feel that others should believe in them. We should endow them with some time as one grieves at his/her own rate. Provide them with a company that'll make them forget their sorrows and bring them close to happiness again. Involve them in group discussions, activities and socially productive work that will keep their mind engaged and reduce the boredom that further results in boredom. Laughter as we all know is a good medicine so try to your make talks humorous and try not including clichd issues like religion, disaster or sad emotions. Try and celebrate smaller joys with full fervor and enthusiasm. Affirm them about their righteousness and acts. Encourage them to express their emotions rather than letting them die with remorse and guilt. Provide an atmosphere that will cheer them up and facilitate them to come out of the grief.

All's Well that Ends Well

By being natural; showing authentic concern; offering patient hearing enveloped with love and care one can surely help a friend who is grieving. Review the whole scene and try creating a normal atmosphere that'll lighten the mood. Just be there for your dear pal, who wants you by his side, today and forever.
