If you learned how to reach a little higher in life, even if only in your dreams, some of your negative stress could melt away. For example, you may dream about being someone rich and famous, maybe a winning athlete or national ruler? Or maybe you dream about finding that special love of your life or about being successful and happy, in your personal and business life?

Although you may aspire to heights in your dreams, they don't need to just remain in the background when you wake up. There are things you can do to combat stress with your dreams.

Your dreams allow you to set your own goals, no matter what they are and who you are. Nothing seems impossible in your dreams.

Think about all the new inventions out there, all the new technology? Someone had to dream about those things before creating them! So dreams can come true and often do.

So let's look at how to make your stress diminish through the use of dreams with some easy steps to success:

A) Dare to dream big. Smile and let your thoughts flow.

B) During waking hours, keep a journal or special notebook and jot down the dream ideas that make you smile. Maybe some are the idea that you have plenty of income to pay necessities and can actually go to a mall to shop – with cash – and enjoy yourself with your children or best friend on a small shopping spree, with no financial stress involved.. Or maybe you dream about enjoying plenty of free time with friends and family with activities going on in your life, with no stressful workaholic and isolation (work-at-home) tendencies pulling you down.

Whatever your dreams, no matter how far fetched, jot them down. Don't worry about how they may appear to others. All info is confidential, for your eyes only.

C) During some free time, look through your dream notes. Look into your dream ideas and really try to nail down some specifics, for ways to make your dreams come true. For example, take the shopping spree. How much would you have in your dream? You could place this amount in your budget and save for it, maybe setting up a special project or part time work just to get the amount together. And the activities with others, which type of activities are you dreaming about? You can plan a picnic, go skydiving, sailing, fishing…any number of things. Make a list of people you can get in touch with to get together. Check into local nature groups and get a monthly schedule of their activities. Look up civic and other associations in your area and online, if you like to travel farther.

The more you can turn your dreams into realities, the more your negative stress will go away. So take charge and have fun turning your dreams into realities.
