When Your Creativity Dries Up…

Whether you are trying to tackle some issues about your fitness program, your diet, your work-at-home operations or other things, creative solutions can sometimes allude you. For times like those, pull out a creativity treasure chest with resources like these for help.

1) Have a guide handy from your local community college so that you can sign up for a course. Join students on campus, learn something new - even if it's how to cook gourmet snacks, and enjoy more out of life.

2) Head to the public library and see what's new. They have software now, videos, DVDs and much more. Check out some fun music from your past. Enjoy!

3) Grab your local community newspaper and see what events are coming up. Most papers host a column or other section with fundraisers. So go join a spaghetti dinner somewhere and contribute to a good cause.

4) Hide out your remote control and TV Guide for the evening. And head to your basement or closet and find some old games to play with the family or with friends. Make it a buffet event or invite everyone to bring a dish or snack and make a party of it. People enjoy card games, Yahtzi, checkers, chess, trivia games, even dancing. So enjoy!

5) If you're looking for extra money, do some moonlighting. You can sell other people's stuff via affiliate marketing on the web. You can create your own products to sell or stop trying to make everything yourself and pick up some private label rights products to sell. Lots of them come with their own coordinating marketing materials (website, autorepsonder series, articles, graphics, etc.) today. Ask friends and neighbors if they have something you can sell. Then head to eBay and set up shop. Use eBay's tools and community boards for help and have fun!

6) Give back to the community. Volunteer to help out your favorite organization. Teach someone to read. Baby-sit for a neighbor. Do yard work for an elderly church friend.

7) Get healthy! Try a new exercise class. Try yoga. Dance. Head to your local YMCA and get on their mailing list.

8) Journal. Stop worrying about proper grammar and correct spelling, just write. Then add markers and create pictures or just basic images or shapes on the pages. Add stickers, glitter, paint. Enjoy and be creative with your feelings on paper.
